An ex-Spitfire ace sets up an underground heist driving operation in 1955 London to fight fire with fire as his family freight business comes under a grim internal threat.

Our film is a world of fierce organisation by ex-servicemen driving epic classic cars, driven by deeply conflicted characters, all set in gritty post-WW2 London. It is about family, business, and the dangers of pride.

We are taking inspiration from Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Peaky Blinders, Le Mans 66, Grand Prix and Succession.

THE FUTURE OF THE DALTON FREIGHT FRANCHISE

THE CRITICAL HOUR is William’s origin story. Why does he do it? How did he start? We want to introduce you to the characters from William’s world.

ON BORROWED TIME is the next film in the series, and sees the return of William’s war time nemesis, at the height of William’s power…

By the mid 1960s, William has monopolised all of London’s lucrative underworld getaway driving. Mirroring the watertight and reactive organization of wartime Fighter Command, Dalton has built an elite team, made up of drivers, mechanics, and operational coordinators. Their equipment is superior, their mindsets focused and their allegiances liberally spanning every major organised crime outfit in the capital. Some drive for the money, others simply to seek thrills they relinquished when war time turned to peace time

George Howson had the idea in 2020, he and writer/director Ed Rigg conceptualized the franchise during lockdown, and shot YOUR MOVE as a proof of concept small story from this 60s world in 2021.

George produces films for the UK’s robust classic car industry (Petroleum & Co). We have a number of notable figures from the £18.3b industry advising the project.

It is a genuinely passion driven industry unlike any other, and sharing this love for old cars with the world, and giving them the airtime they deserve on the big screen, is of genuine importance to the team currently involved and our current investors.
